Everyday calculators

Five free tools for study, dates and work: grades, percentages, exact age, days between dates and total experience across jobs.

What these tools do

Five calculators for the questions that come up at school, at work and on forms: what a grade converts to, what a percentage really is, exactly how old someone is, how many days lie between two dates and how much experience a career adds up to. Like everything on Bloguu, they run in your browser and need no account.

Start with the right tool

Study and grades. The GPA and CGPA calculator works out a semester GPA from credit hours, combines semesters into a CGPA and converts CGPA to a percentage or marks, including the HEC tiered formula used in Pakistan. The percentage calculator handles marks percentages, percent of a number and percentage change.

Age. The age calculator gives an exact age in years, months and days, handles leap years and uneven month lengths, and can measure age on any date, not only today.

Dates and work. The date calculator counts days between two dates, working days that skip weekends and holidays, notice periods and length of service. The work experience calculator adds up every job you have held, counts overlapping roles once and reports gaps, ready for a CV or visa form.

Answers you can check

Dates and grades are easy to get slightly wrong: whether a range counts both its first and last day, or whether a CGPA conversion uses a simple or tiered formula. Each tool says which rule it applies and lets you switch where there is more than one accepted method, so the figure matches what your university, employer or embassy expects.
